I will keep this short as I want to concentrate the content of the site on gardening rather than personal stuff. I was born in Hertfordshire, England in 1951 and moved to Manchester in 1974. I worked as a Clinical Scientist in a teaching hospital in Manchester but am now retired. My hobbies, apart from gardening, are walking, photography and travelling (although I still have to conquer my fear of flying before every trip). The picture was taken in Looe in Cornwall on a trip to visit the Eden Project. If you are in South West England this is well worth a visit especially to view the spectacular Tropical and Mediterranean dome greenhouses.
